In some ways they are opposites, but shared goals and dreams brings brothers Chris and Dan Neaton of Neaton Brothers Erosion together.
They have different interest, but share the same common goal. Chris's interests lie in the business side of the operation, where he focuses on paperwork, public relations, and sales. Dan, however, prefers to be on the job or working in the shop. This makes sure all aspects of the business are covered.
The brothers grew up on a farm near Watertown, and learned the value of hard work and cooperation. In 1998, Chris and Dan came up with the idea of starting an erosion control business together. They started off quite small with only a rented tractor, a shed rented from uncles, and one employee, younger brother Joe.
With lots of hard work and determination, the brothers expanded the company to over 30 employees and in 2005 bought land to build their new company headquarters in Mayer, MN. In 2010, Kevin Miller joined the company as an estimator. His arrival has brought with a vast knowledge of bidding and job costing. From erosion control work, farming to make their own product for usage on projects, to snowplowing in the winter; Neaton Brothers Erosion has continued to grow and evolve into an even more successful business.
Neaton Brothers Erosion's jobs range from 1 time small projects to extensive multi-year projects, and are split between public and private projects. The brothers have earned the reputation for providing quality work.
